This is field practice and review. We will spend the morning learning and implementing the standards for basic trail maintenance, discuss how efficiency will reduce the amount of time needed on any trail and how good trail maintenance ensures a sustainable trail for the long term. You will be brushing trail corridor and cleaning and constructing drainage structures.
Plan to spend the day outside. Dress for the weather conditions. Wear close toed shoes, long pants and a long-sleeve shirt. Bring your day pack with lunch, snacks and water. Don’t forget your favorite pair of work gloves and a hard hat if you have one.

* Solutions to Proper Brushing of Trails
* Cleaning of Drainage Structures
